-Implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provide support to IT systems including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems. Provide second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
Establish and maintain user accounts, assigns file permissions and establishes password and account policies; installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a production environment.
Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Review performance logs and monitors system performance. .
Security Clearance will be needed - therefore, only US citizens can be considered.
8 plus year of experience required.
Experience in design, implementation, maintenance, and support relating to the deployment and ongoing usage of Microsoft Active Directory, MS Server, virus protection, security and other core technologies.
Strong understanding of the windows platform, including knowledge of the registry, security policies, software installation and distribution, CIFS/DFS/FRS, File and share permissions.
Experience with high-availability design (failover systems & data replication), clustering/load-balancing/high-availability technologies (Windows Clustering), iSCSI/Fiber Channel SAN Management.
Strong working knowledge of patch management and change control practices.
Ability to work in a managed environment that employs ITIL-based practices for change and configuration management to ensure a stable UMS environment.
Experience with VMware Server and ESX, virtualization analysis, and consolidation activities.
Familiar with advanced file server permissions delegation and rights management, as well as possess scripting expertise (VBScript or equivalent).
